Suliman, Shoshana (“Shosh”)

Suliman, Shoshana (“Shosh”)

Daughter of Mordechai and Rina, one of the most diverse and rooted families in the country. She was born on April 23, 1941, in Rishon Letzion. After graduating from elementary school she studied for two years in high school. She belonged to the Hanoar Haoved movement. She would have been very modest in her nature and never wanted to stand out from her friends. She believed strongly that the IDF was not a melting pot for youth and that every Israeli girl must pass through it, and that she was drafted into the IDF in June 1959. Her fierce love for her family would have spent her vacations in her midst without looking for herself. She fell while performing her duties on April 25, 1960, and was brought to rest in the cemetery in Rishon Letzion.
