Suissa, Mordechai


Son of Yosef and Hannah. He was born on March 2, 1948 in Casablanca, Morocco. Before the family immigrated to Israel, he studied at the “mother-boys” elementary school. At the beginning of 1962 he immigrated with his family to Israel. Mordechai was a member of the “Hanoar Haoved” movement and after six months he studied diamond polishing and worked in this profession until the day he enlisted in the IDF. Which he served. During his vacations he participated in various orchestras in Haifa. After completing his service, he worked as a drummer in the band and then established a new band in Tiberias. During the summer he worked in nightclubs accompanied by various singers and artists. After his discharge from the army he was called several times for reserve service. On the day of his death his daughter was born, and he left a wife and a daughter who was not recognized, and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Safed.
