Strole, Andre-Haim


Andre-Haim, son of Yehudit, and Elimelech was born on 27.11.1952 in Torgo-Morse, Romania, In 1970 he immigrated to Israel with his family, and the family settled in Petah Tikva, where he completed his high school studies at Hadassah-Neurim School. In this school he enrolled in the art department of the tree, and here another area of his artistic ability developed. Even when he returned home for army vacations, he would sit on sheets of paper and pastels, expressing his feelings in lines and colors. “The painting inspires and reassures me,” he used to say. He left behind a large collection of handicrafts, attesting to his great talent. He was drafted into the IDF in late May 1972 and assigned to the Armored Corps, where he completed a course in tank training and a tank gun course, completing both courses with excellent grades, first serving in Rafah, then moving to another base and doing most of his service in the Golan Heights. He was fond of his friends at the school, and they used to say, “Andrei is an exception. In the Yom Kippur War, Andrei fought as a tank gunner in battles against the Syrians in the Golan Heights, and at first his unit fought in the area of ​outpost 107. In the battle that took place on Kuneitra on the 11th of Tishrei 5740 (7.10). 1973. He was brought to eternal rest in the military section of the Kiryat Shaul cemetery, left behind by his parents and brother, and was promoted to the rank of sergeant.
