Strauss, Ernst
He was born in 1919 in Germany and immigrated to Palestine in 1938. When World War II broke out, he enlisted in the British Army and was stationed in the Air Force, where he served in Egypt. On 5 Adar, 4.3.1941, he was injured in a road accident and killed. He was laid to rest at the British military cemetery in Cairo. His name was immortalized in “The Book of Volunteerism,” in the Yizkor book of the Jabotinsky Institute and in the “Book of the Year of the Journalists”, 1946. He was 22 years old when he died.
