Stoop, Ilana

Daughter of Zvi and Rachel. Born in Haifa on 7 November 1956. She studied at the Netivim Elementary School and the Kiryat Hayim High School and completed her studies at the Henrietta Erawel Professional High School. She was an outstanding student in a vocational school specializing in design and fashion, and in this school she became an outstanding student and was awarded two years of school-time award. In the field of design, her modesty, her easy temper, and her goodness were widely known, and she was loved and accepted by both her teachers and her friends. 75 Ilana was drafted into the IDF and placed in the liaison corps. She fulfilled her role with dedication and efficiency. On 29.4.1976, Ilana fell during her service. Was brought to rest in the cemetery in Haifa. Survived by her parents and sister. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the commander of Ilana’s unit praised her diligence, her readiness to help in everything, and above all, her responsibility and dedication to the job and to her unit.
