Stieglitz, Eliyahu
Eliyahu, son of Ya’akov and Beila Stieglitz, was born on June 15, 1947 in Kfar Yves, Romania. In 1951 the family immigrated to Israel. The Six-Day War broke out and on the fifth day of the battles, when they fought fiercely for the target, Eliyahu fell in a battle that took place in Tel-el-Fakhr in the Golan Heights. It should be noted that when they found his body, his tefillin were attached to him. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Afula.
