Son of Shaul and Salwina. He was born on February 22, 1924 in Romania. He graduated from high school there. He belonged to the Ha – Shomer ha – Tsa’ir youth movement in Bucharest and went to the hachshara. After his return he left for Palestine (1947), was captured by the British and brought to Cyprus; Where he sat until 1949, and then came to Israel. When he arrived he went to Kibbutz Mishmar Ha’emek. When his parents were preparing to come to Israel he left the farm to prepare a house for them. Shortly after their arrival he enlisted in the IDF (June 1950) on 10 May 1951, died and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem
