Sternfeld, Moshe
Son of Shmuel Shlomo. He was a member of the “Hechalutz” movement in Vienna and was a member of a Zionist pioneering training group in 1920. He immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1920 He was transferred to Jaffa and then to Lod, where he worked in the office of the foreman in the locomotive department, and his work with his Hagana membership involved a fact that required his daily presence In the course of his work. On 9 Elul, September 6, 1938, Moshe was mortally wounded while he was in his office at the end of the Lod railway station and died of his wounds. He was brought to eternal rest in the Nahalat Yitzhak cemetery in the Haganah’s fallen section. He left a wife and a son. The newspaper Davar published a list in his memory.
