Stern, Nitai
The youngest son of Sarah and Reuven. Natay was born in Jerusalem on November 20, 1987. Brother to Shira, Bashmat-Elka, Matan and Idan. Netai grew up in Jerusalem. At the end of his studies he joined the IDF and served as a combat soldier in the Golani infantry brigade in Battalion 13. Natai fell in combat in the Gaza Strip on January 5, 2009, during Operation Cast Lead. Two other fighters: Major Dagan Moshe Wertman and Corporal Yosef Moadi, who was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, left his parents, two sisters and two brothers, and was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant after his fall. On the tombstone of Natai, the family wrote: “He who kisses the joy of the passover on his face, will be alive forever.”
