Stern, Alejandro
Son of Monica and Jonathan. Alejandro was born in Argentina on February 12, 1977. He grew up in Argentina. In April 1996, 19-year-old Alejandro immigrated to Israel. He immigrated on his own and since his immigration he lived with a foster family – the Weissman family in Kibbutz Yagur. On March 26, 1997, Alejandro was drafted into the IDF and began his combat in the Givati infantry brigade. His commander, Lieutenant Colonel Shlomo, said: “Alejandro was a disciplined soldier, diligent and dedicated, very motivated, very fond of his commanders and his friends, smart and serious.” Alejandro stood out in the personal example he gave his friends. Alejandro fell during his service on August 4, 1997. At the request of his family, he was brought to rest in Argentina, where his parents live, leaving parents and brother, the chief of staff, Lt. Gen.
