Fishel, son of Chaya and Yeshayahu, was born on October 2, 1936, in Fishel was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early August 1955 and assigned to the infantry, and was assigned to the infantry brigade, but due to his family’s difficult financial situation, he was released from regular service. He was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces and was stationed as a combat medic in the same battalion, and during the Six-Day War he took part in battles in the Golan Heights and was slightly wounded after completing his regular service. , Fishel returned to work in Ein Harod, and worked as a collector And he continued working in this factory until his last day, when he was 22 years old and married his girlfriend, Miriam, and the couple continued to live in Afula, where Fishel was among the first conscripts. On October 17, 1973, during a heavy bombardment near Beit Zan, Fishel was courageously and self-sacrificed to rescue his friend Joseph Buchris, while Fishel was injured in the shelling and died of his wounds On the way to the hospital. He was brought to eternal rest in the Afula cemetery. He left behind a wife and two daughters, a mother and four brothers. After his fall, he was promoted to sergeant. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the unit commander wrote: “His kindness and honesty, his peace and his friendship have left an impression on us that he will never be forgotten.”
