Ben Antonina and Gandhi. He was born on October 8, 1973, in Leningrad, in the Soviet Union. Where he grew up, studied and was educated. The eldest son of a family of two children. At the end of the elementary school, Yuval continued his studies at Technikom Technological College, in the field of car electrical engineering. During his studies he participated in the Department of Hydrology, and in the competition he won second place. As a child, he devoted himself to the love of raising fish, which the family nurtured. Yuval was a friendly and smiling boy. In his youth, he stood out for independence. Yuval loved racing and participated in the “karting” races. A lot of reading literature, especially loved the books of Jack London. When he grew up a little, he could give help and support without expecting gratitude. In 1990, at the age of seventeen, he immigrated with his mother and sister to Israel. The family established their home in Kiryat Arba and Yuval began his studies in Hebrew ulpan. He acquired good command of the language, acclimated himself to life in Israel and went on to expand his education at a college in Be’er Sheva. Yuval wanted very much “to be an Israeli” and, above all, to serve in the army. He passed the recruitment tests very successfully and showed a high motivation for military service. At the beginning of March 1992, Yovel was drafted into compulsory military service in the Israel Defense Forces and was assigned to the Combat Engineering Corps. Yuval was chosen to take a course in military training, received the rank of sergeant and was appointed as a noncom in a course for training immigrants. According to his friends and commanders, Yuval was responsible and involved in his role. In his opinion on the reporters, he writes: “A professional and professionally trained man, he teaches the lessons properly and takes care of safety in training, knows how to accept criticism and applies the necessary lessons … He is highly self-disciplined and very motivated to train …” Yuval was proud of his role and saw a mission and mission in preparing soldiers for military service. On the 26th of Shvat 5754 (6.2.1994), Yovel fell during his service and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. He was twenty years old when he fell. Survived by his mother and sister – Victoria. In a letter of consolation to the bereaved family, the unit commander wrote: “When Yuval was unable to continue on the combat path, he sought to fulfill his mission in the army as a command and instruction officer … Yuval will instill among the youth values ​​and motivation to serve in preferred units.
