Stankov, Zvi (Zvika)


Son of Bella and Dov, was born on December 11, 1963 in Tel Aviv. Zvi studied at the “Alumim” school in Holon. He successfully completed his elementary studies, and although he excelled in general subjects, he preferred to study carpentry at the Yad Shapira vocational school in Jaffa. At a young age, Zvi went to work, so he would not need the help of his parents. Zvi was a sports fan of all kinds. He liked to ride a bike, lift weights to develop physical fitness, and loved football. Among his hobbies was collecting stamps and collecting abandoned animals on the street. He also raised fish in the aquarium. An intelligent boy was a deer, loved life, and made friends easily. He was very attached to his family, and respected his parents. In October 1981, Zvi was drafted into the IDF about a month before his legal enlistment, and after completing basic training, he was stationed in the Artillery Corps, and when the war broke out, Zvi was confined to his base for medical reasons. Zvi succeeded in persuading his commanders, and they sent him to his comrades in Lebanon On the 22nd of Tevet 5742 (22.12.1982) Zvi fell during his service in Lebanon. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Holon. He left behind his parents, two sisters and a brother
