Spector, Zvi (Zvika)


Zvi, son of Bella and Shalom, was born on May 10, 1930 in Poland, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1949. He completed his elementary studies in his hometown of Poland until his military service As a tractor operator in Kibbutz Revadim, Zvi was drafted into the IDF in May 1951 as a member of the Nahal Brigade, and was assigned to the infantry corps, and after completing basic training he was transferred to the Armored Corps and was authorized to be a machine gun commander. Him to study in a machine-gun course. He was ordained in this profession and served there until the end of his regular service. After his release, he was called for periods of active reserve duty, where he served in a reconnaissance unit in the south. After the end of his regular service, Zvi continued to work as a tractor operator in various parts of the country. On February 21, 1974, Zvi was on his way to leave as part of an active reserve service. He was injured in a fatal car accident and fell in the line of duty. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He left behind a wife and two children – Dafna and Amir, and parents. After his death he was promoted to sergeant.
