Spector, Samson

Son of-Baruch Mordechai and Pesia. He was born on May 27, 1938 in Tel Aviv. He graduated from the “Tachkemoni” elementary school and then completed his studies at the Torah and Malach Yeshiva in Kfar Avraham, because he was always thirsty for news and acquiring a profession so that he could find his bread from manual labor. Worked as a metal scribe and paid his entire salary to his parents to help them with their living. In addition to the books, in which he was mostly absorbed, he would set times for sports. He was serious, responsible and modest; He was loyal to his parents and devoted to all his family, and shortly after completing his studies he joined the IDF in November 1957, He passed several courses and graduated cum laude. He had always done his best to be helpful to his friends with his great devotion and dedication to his homeland. His plan was to continue his studies at the Hebrew Technion in Haifa (in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering) after he was discharged from the army. His commanders admired him for his various qualities in his behavior and actions as a man and as a soldier, his diligence in his work and his devotion to every task he was assigned. His attitude toward his friends was also good; He always tried to understand them, was pleasant in his conversations with them and did not know anger or irritation. He died on the 27th of Sivan 5719 (3.7.1959) and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. The center of the sports association “Elitzur” set up a trophy for his name in a basketball section.
