Spector, Isaiah (Shaike)

Born on July 12, 1926 in Tel Aviv, son of Rivka and David were born in Tel Aviv and graduated from the Tachkemoni elementary school in Jerusalem and were educated in the spirit of sacrifice and devotion. Zvi was the commander of the 13th boat, which went to sabotage the fuel facilities in Syria and perished in the sea with all his friends during the Second World War, and in 1946 he joined the Palmach as part of his professional training and was in Givat Haim. He intended to immigrate to Israel with his fellow kibbutz members in the kibbutz Tzuba. With the UN General Assembly resolution of November 29, 1947, on partition and the outbreak of the War of Independence, he was drafted into the army and graduated with honors. He joined a battalion of the Palmach’s Negev Brigade and was sent to the Negev, and on December 11, 1947, he fell near Abu Ranak (near Be’er Sheva), standing at the head of a squad of four men sent to guard the water line. Were found two days later, including signs of abuse, and he was buried in Mishmar Hanegev, on the 15th of Cheshvan 5705 (15.11.1949), who was transferred to the Nahalat Yitzhak Military Cemetery.
