Solomon, Lulu
Son of Avraham and Matilda. Born on December 16, 1934 in Bucharest, capital of Romania, Lulu completed his elementary studies in his hometown and was later sent to a high school with two outstanding students and continued to study at the Faculty of Philosophy and Journalism, He was a member of the Hashomer Hatzair movement there, and in 1961 immigrated to Israel and found his livelihood in the Haifa port guard. After learning Hebrew he was transferred to the Manpower Department at the Port Authority, and he liked French and English literature. He was very fond of photographing historical landscapes and was drafted into the IDF in July 1963, and after completing compulsory service he would go out from time to time Reserve duty and the outbreak of the Six-Day War was called again. On the fifth day of the fighting, he died on the 9th of June 1967. He was killed in a battle in the southern Golan Heights, and he was buried at the military cemetery in Afula and later transferred to eternal rest.
