In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “Ziv served as a tank loader in the tank and was an excellent crew member, and during the fighting, Ziv served as a commander and assured his people of their ability.” His kibbutz published a pamphlet in his memory containing the words of friends and the commanders’ statements about his character, memoirs, letters and photographs.
