Sklar, Avraham (Sandor)


Avraham, son of Sarah and Vino Sklar, was born on February 25, 1931 in Hungary. He immigrated to Palestine on a ship seized by the British and exiled to Cyprus, where he studied mechanical frames with the help of the Joint. In 1947, he began to study agriculture in Mikvah Israel, and he volunteered and served in the Alexandroni Brigade and was transferred to the Latrun Brigade. He was taken to conquer Latrun, but he encountered enemy forces and was forced to retreat, and on this day he fell on the 17th of Iyar 5708 (May 26, 1948.) On the 17th of Tishrei 5771 (17.11.1949) he was brought to rest at the military cemetery at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
