Skajo, Yehuda (Julius, Luca)
Son of Tzila and Eliezer was born on October 20, 1928, in the city of Yasi, Romania, where he studied in an elementary school and vocational school, specializing in framing and electrician, was a member of Hashomer Hatzair. He went to Italy and spent six months in the Hagana course and was a member of Gahal (Overseas Recruitment) in July 1948 during the War of Independence. He was immediately accepted to a second military course in Kfar Yona and a month later was sent to the Negev. He served in the Yiftah Brigade of the Palmach and excelled in his love for work, in love for others, and in the love of the homeland, and was severely injured in the outpost near Ruchama, which was severely bombed from the air on October 4, 1948 and died on the way to the hospital. He was buried in Mishmar Hanegev. On the 23 of Cheshvan 5710 (15.11.1949) he was transferred to the eternal rest of the military cemetery in Haifa.
