Singer, Yehuda


Son of Fanny (Feiga) and Eliezer, was born in 1924 in the city of Vasloi, Romania. He attended elementary and high school and later worked in sewing. In 1947 he immigrated to Israel with his wife and daughter on the “Knesset Israel” ship. They were sent to detention in Cyprus and from there immigrated to Israel in early 1948 and settled temporarily in Hadar, near Ramatayim. Yehuda joined an agricultural organization that was to settle in the moshav. During the War of Independence, he was sent to fortifications in Arab Kfar Saba where he fell in the shelling on te 4th of Iyar, Wednesday, May 13, 1948. A monument in his memory was erected at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. famous.
