Singer, Gershon (Gust)


Son of Yehudit and Baruch, was born on March 15, 1929 in Romania, where he studied in the elementary school and in the “Chidarim” and was tried as a child during the hardships and persecutions inflicted upon the Jews of Romania during the Second World War. He immigrated to Israel and was sent to Cyprus where he continued his training on behalf of the Haganah and immigrated to Israel in 1947. After the outbreak of the War of Independence, he joined the ” Alexandroni. “He completed a sabotage course and served with the rank of sergeant in all battles of his regiment, and Gershon was killed during an incursion near Ramat HaKovesh on December 5, 1948.
