Simon, Albert
Son of Irma and Arthur. Born in 1904 in Konigsberg, Germany. In 1934 his father died. His sister Ruth married and immigrated to Israel in 1933 with her husband and son, and in 1938 another sister managed to escape from the Nazis, leaving Danzig and emigrating with her husband and two daughters to Canada. He was sent to Greece with the units that came to help the Greeks in the face of the Italian invader and later the German. On 2 Iyar, April 29, 1941, Albert fell and his burial place is unknown. He was survived by a mother, two sisters, a nephew, two nieces and a wife. On September 5, 1942, his mother perished in the Holocaust in Riga, where she was taken from Berlin.
