Silam, Mordechai (Hector)


Son of Rahamim and Irena. He was born on February 5, 1929, in the city of Sousse, Tunisia. He completed his studies at an Alliance school. While we were abroad he worked for the Haganah and its ranks. He came to Israel and found his bread as a watchmaker. He fell in the battle of Rafah in Sinai on the 26th of Mishvan 5711 (1.11.1956). He was buried at the Military Emergency Cemetery in Bari and on 28 October 5757 he was transferred to the eternal military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
