Sidis, Yehuda


Son of Yitzhak and Fortuna. He was born in Acre on 3 November 1954. He studied at the Gordon Elementary School in the city and continued to study in the second Aliyah school in the city, where he studied for two years the vocational training course at the Tzur High- During his studies, he was a member of the National Working and Studying Youth movement and active in the Gadna. During the year before his enlistment, he worked in Israeli freighters and saw the whole world. Yehuda was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in February 1973 and assigned to the Armored Corps, and after completing his basic training in the tank fields and being certified as a tank driver, he joined the glorious 7th Brigade.In the outbreak of the Yom Kippur War, Judah fought bravely and was among those who arrested the invading Syrian forces. Judah was caught between the forces that penetrated deeply into Syria, and the war left a sad impression on Judah, who saw with his own eyes the best of his comrades, who had witnessed the horrors of fire and blood, became more serious, more considerate and more introverted. He had a tank commander course, he was an excellent tank commander, and his command was excellent, and Judah gave him confidence and confidence A.
