He was born on 6/6/1943 in Rehovot, where he studied at the elementary school where he studied at the ORT vocational high school, and devoted much of his time to activities in Hashomer Hatzair, He went to the Nahal Brigade after a period of training, basic training, and spent a year in the Nahal brigade in the kibbutz. In the Negev he came with his “Reshef” core for advanced training, he belonged to a squad of squad commanders who spent days and nights in very difficult training, and Jacob participated in all the parachutes, He moved to Beit Nir, the farm where his nucleus completed, where he began to work as a sailor, and at the same time he established the kibbutz’s handball team. He worked at the shopping center when he drove a truck, but he dreamed of going to study at the Wingate Institute, but his marriage, and later the birth of his eldest daughter, led to the rejection of his plan. The order of the call found him, like all his friends, ready to go out and his hope was that for a short time he would be called and when the tension would go home. But not when he imagined that on the second day of the war, he was on the 27th of Iyar 5727 (6.6.1967), fell in a battle held in Jerusalem and the capital while fighting the canals on Ammunition Hill. He left a wife and a daughter. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. The booklet “53 of them”, published by the Kibbutz Artzi in memory of its fallen comrades in the war, was dedicated to its history. In the book “Marinas Gabro” of the Paratroopers Headquarters was devoted a page to his history and description of his last battle.
