Shukron, Moshe

Moshe studied at the “Hanasi” elementary school in Yerucham and completed his education at the youth center in technical subjects. A pleasant fellow, full of joie de vivre, surrounded by friends and friends. In mid-May 1976, Moshe was drafted into the Israel Air Force, where he was sent to a truck driver’s course, received the rank of corporal and was assigned to serve at the Israel Air Force base in Mitzpeh Ramon. On the command scale up to the rank of lieutenant colonel. In 1978, Moshe married his girlfriend Ruti. The family expanded with the birth of the two girls – Shiri and Lilach. In May 1979, Moshe completed his regular service and joined the career army. The release certificate reads: “A very good soldier, quiet and dedicated to his job.” Moshe stood out in his comfortable temperament, knew the difficulties and difficulties of others, and offered help without being asked. In 1980, Moshe completed his service in the Israel Defense Forces and was assigned to a reserve unit of the Engineering Corps, where he was trained by a heavy mechanical equipment operator and accepted to work at the Rotem-Fertilizers Phosphate Plant. On 19.1.1994 Moshe was called to active reserve duty. During his journey from his home in Dimona to his unit in Gaza, on the Dimona-Be’er Sheva road near Aroer Junction, Moshe was killed in a car accident. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Dimona. His tombstone was engraved: “He fell while carrying out his duties.” Moshe left behind Raya – Dina, four daughters – Lilach, Shiri, Racheli and Adi, father, four sisters – Irit, Rivka, Dina and Ilana and three brothers – Jacob, Yoram and Abraham. At thirty-six Moshe was falling. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the unit commander wrote: “Moshe served in one unit for ten years, during which time we became acquainted with his special personality and his pleasant temperament … a kind and noble soul whose only interest was helping others, volunteering for every mission and task. And our actions … Our pride in the right that we have received is that Moshe is among the ranks of the unit … “
