Ben Batya and Shaul. He was born on February 5, 1970 in Nahariya. When Eli was eight years old, he and his sister Tali were adopted by the Shrem family, who raised them like their own children, because their biological parents did not succeed in raising them. Eli and his sister even bore the surname of their adoptive parents. Eli studied at the Harel Elementary School and completed his studies at the Aderet yeshiva and at a technological school in Bat Yam. Tishrei 5748 (August 1988) Eli was drafted into the IDF Armored Corps. Both his commanders and his friends remember him as a quiet soldier who helps others. On the 12th of Tammuz 5750 (12.7.1990) he fell to me during his service and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Holon. Survived by his parents and sister – Tali. To commemorate his name, his parents donated a Torah scroll to the Tzur Moshe youth and youth synagogue in Ramat Yosef in Bat Yam. The ceremony was attended by the Chief Rabbis of Bat Yam.
