Shoval (Shavli), Moshe

Moshe, son of Yehya and Rivka Shoval, was born on January 24, 1938, in Jerusalem. In October 1955 he was drafted into the IDF and after his discharge from the army he would occasionally go on reserve duty. On June 5, 1967, the enemy severely shelled the mortar position at the Allenby camp. A car full of explosives was parked in this area, causing damage to the area. Moshe jumped into the car and risked his life driving it out of the camp. In doing so, he prevented a possible injury to his comrades. But two days later, Moshe ran over a mine, and he was brought to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
