Shor, Chaim Dov
Son of Avraham and Dina. Born on October 7, 1950 in Haifa, he studied at the “Rambam” school in Acre and later studied at the Bnei Akiva Yeshiva in Kfar Haroeh, since he was a member of the Bnei Akiva organization and was active in it. He graduated from high school in Acre. In his free time he used to read detective literature and his ambition was to study criminology. He was an avid photo buff and took photographs at every opportunity. He also liked the basketball game but the lack of time could not join a basketball team. He was loved by everyone and became the center of every social meeting. He was a devoted son to his parents, loved them and his brother Samuel and gave them respect and loyalty. He was drafted into the IDF in November 1968 and assigned to the Armored Corps, although all his comrades enlisted in the Nahal Brigade, but he left them and volunteered for a combat unit. When he was transferred to a rear base, he fought the sector and asked to be sent to the Canal Zone. On January 19, 1970, he died of wounds sustained while performing his duties. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Nahariya.
