Shomer, Salomon (“Moni”)

Son of Yeshayahu and Sultana (Rina). He was born in 1949 in Cairo, Egypt, and immigrated with his family to Israel in 1957. Salomon studied at the elementary school of the Bat Yam transit camp and at the ORT vocational school in Jaffa, where he enjoyed sports and especially took part in soccer. Salomon was drafted into the IDF in May 1968. On March 28, 1970, he fell in the line of duty, and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul .
