Shmulevitz, Shalom


Born in Riga in 1910, he immigrated to Palestine in 1933 and worked as an agricultural laborer and in the Betar labor battalions in Herzliya, Hadera and Givat Ada. On the 9th of Tammuz (June 28, 1936), he was taken to an extreme position in the Zichron Yaakov vineyard, was wounded in the stomach and thighs by an assassin’s shot, and he died at the Hadassah Hospital in Haifa on the 13th of Tammuz (3.7.1936). He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Zichron Ya’akov. He left behind a elderly mother in Latvia.
