Shmulevich, Yehuda


Son of Hinda and Shlomo (Pinchas) was born on 29.6.1929 in the city of Iasi, Romania. He immigrated to Israel on a ship, “Max Nordoi” in 1946, with a group of youth Aliyah youth. From then until his enlistment he was in a youth company in Nir Am and was educated to be a farmer and a fighter. When he enlisted in the army during the War of Independence, he was sent to the Upper Galilee and the mother’s home that settled in Petah Tikva only during the vacation. Yehuda served in the Oded Brigade and participated in Operation Brosh to eliminate the Syrian bridgehead in the Mishmar Hayarden area. The fierce battles that took place in this area fell on Tuesday, July 10, 1948. He was brought to rest at the military cemetery in Rosh Pina.
