Shmueli, Ira
Son of Jacob and Leah. He was born on July 27, 1934 in Tel Aviv. He completed his studies at an elementary school in Herzliya and later attended the “New High School” in Tel Aviv. He belonged to the Hanoar Haoved movement. At the age of 17, he stopped his high school studies and enlisted in a Gadna-Air pilot’s course, since from his youth he continued to fly. Was drafted into the Israel Air Force in August 1951, and after completing his regular service he joined the permanent army and reached the rank of lieutenant on May 15, 1955. He fell in the line of duty and was laid to rest in the Herzliya cemetery.
