In mid-February 1994, Israel enlisted in the IDF and began training in the Nahal Brigade. He was a quiet soldier, disciplined and orderly, smiling, happy and very sociable, who did all the tasks that were best assigned to him. His friends said he was a talented musician and singer. Israel fell during his service on 18 June 1994. Eighteen years old, he was laid to rest in the military section of the Pardes Hanna cemetery, leaving behind his parents, sister Tamar and five brothers – Eran, Ariel, Rafael, Tal And Omer, whose family commemorated him in a computer room in Yehud, in a playground named after him in Mevo Dotan, and in the evening young talents at the Samaria Community Center, held in his memory each year.
