Yitzhak (Itzik), the eldest son of Masuda and Yehiel, was born on March 7, 1955 in Arpud, Morocco. In 1962, the family immigrated to Israel and settled in Beer-Sheva, where Yitzhak completed his studies at the “Yosef Karo” elementary school in the city and continued to study at the Amal vocational high school in the framework of mechanical frameworks. He was a close friend of his parents and a loving brother, and he protected his brothers and sisters, who were born after him, and all his friends and loved ones loved him for his great cheer, his good manners and his kindness, At the beginning of January 1973, and was assigned to the Armored Corps. After basic training he was transferred to the Armored Corps School for the Armored Corps course, and the service difficulties did not make him angry, and during the last days of the course the Yom Kippur War broke out on the morning of the Sabbath, 1973.) Yitzhak was still praying with his friends in the synagogue, and in the afternoon he and his unit had already left the enemy crossing the Suez Canal with their bodies, and the same day, when his unit was to clear the area of ​​Kantara from enemy forces, they encountered an Egyptian ambush. Yitzhak was hit by an Egyptian anti-tank bomb and he was killed. He was brought to rest in the cemetery in Be’er Sheva. Survived by his parents, five brothers and two sisters. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the defense minister wrote: “Yitzhak was a devoted soldier and an excellent friend, and was fond of his commanders and comrades in arms.” And his commander wrote: “During the battles Yitzhak displayed courage and determination, and his death is a great loss to our unit.” To commemorate his name, the family donated a Torah scroll to a synagogue in Be’er Sheva.
