Shirazi, David


Son of pleasant and Simcha. He was born on the 19th of Tevet 5747 (11/1947) in Tel Aviv. When David arrived at school, he went to the Kedma elementary school and studied there until he graduated. He tended to sports and loved swimming and football. When he was in compulsory service, the Six-Day War broke out. Inside his regiment, he would carry out the orders efficiently as a cabbage. On the fifth day of the fighting, he fell on a battle in Tel-el-Fakhr on 9 June 1967. David was commended for his courage and devotion to the task of fighting in that battle, according to a description on his ID card, While fighting stubbornly to the fence of the outpost and David jumped on one of these fences so that his friends could pass, and his friends passed through his body and entered the destination. David then took a machine gun from one of the wounded and continued fighting until he died in the course of this operation. He was buried in the military cemetery in Afula and was later transferred to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
