Shiraz Aharon Schwarzman
Son of-Eliezer and Bruria, Holocaust survivors. He was born on June 2, 1947 in Linz, Austria. Immigrated to Israel with his family in 1948. Aharon grew up in Hod Hasharon (Magdiel). He studied at the Sprinzak elementary school on the site and was found to be a talented and outstanding student in the real professions. As a result of his excellence in these subjects, he was transferred to the new electric and electronics program at the ORT – Kfar Saba High School and was a graduate of the first cycle of this program. At the end of his studies at Ort-Kfar Saba, he moved to the Mossinzon High School in Magdiel, in the electronics track. Combined with the practical part of the Air Force Technical School – and completed his studies here. In his youth Aharon was a member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed movement. He was an avid sports fan and played in the soccer club of his moshav, as part of the Betar team, and later joined the local Hapoel team, where he played for the rest of his life. Roni says: “I learned a few things from Aharon: he was a symbol for me in his good qualities – inner quiet, honesty and honesty. He was cold-tempered and thoughtful, shy and kind, but at the same time aggressive and stubborn. “And his friend Shulamit adds:” Aharon had a strong desire to fulfill his wishes. He was very obstinate in dealing with the hard material. His obstinacy was revealed when he decided to repair or put together this or that device or when he decided to act in a certain way. “” Aharon loved soccer, “says Roni.” He loved cinemas and was a keen fan of hiking. He was a very good professional and improvised. What he took was managed and arranged. “Aharon was drafted into the IDF in November 1965 and assigned to the Armored Corps. After basic training, he was sent to the armored brigade as an electronics technician. During the Six-Day War he took part in the difficult battles in Sinai. Especially in the battle for the torsional passage. On the way back to the base, Aharon was hit in the stomach. He was operated on in the Ashkelon hospital and was out of danger. After six months, Aharon returned to Israel and began working at the Bedek plant, where he quickly advanced to his job and was sent to a subsidiary of Bedek in the south of the country where he worked. In the 1973 Yom Kippur War Aharon took part in battles in the Golan Heights and in Sinai, and after six months he was discharged from service and returned to work.Then the 9th of Av, 5737 (28.7.1974) Aharon fell in the line of duty. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Hod Hasharon (Magdiel). He left behind a wife, a daughter who was born after his death, parents and brother. His family and teammates called the team after him and instituted a tradition of an annual game in his memory, in which a trophy bearing his name is awarded to the winning team.
