Shindel, Zvi (Zviki)
Zvi, son of Nehama and Shimon, was born on January 25, 1945, in Jerusalem. Was drafted into the IDF at the end of January 1963. He was sent to Kibbutz Eilot, To the defeated Nahal. He successfully completed a sabotage course, a parachuting course and a sabotage course, and was assigned to a parachute unit as a non-commissioned officer. In his unit Zvika went from strength to strength, and his friends liked him as a friend and commander. In his parents’ home, he did not say anything about his achievements, and even tried to conceal the fact that he was a paratrooper and a saboteur, fearing that he would worry his parents. He hid the symbol of the paratroopers’ wings in his bag, along with the pages of the training material for dealing with explosives. When things were discovered at home, he smiled and devalued them with a nod. He was discharged from the regular service as a sergeant and commander of a squad at the Nahalal base in Shivta, and was assigned to reserve duty, and was called for periods of active reserve duty, and was awarded the “Six-Day War.” After his release he went to study at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem Physics and mathematics, and successfully completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies, where he began teaching at high schools and teaching assistants at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he married his girlfriend Ilana, and his eldest daughter, Dana, was born in 1970. Zvika influenced his wife and daughter with love and attention Lev, and at the same time maintained close contact with his parents In his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Atmospheric Sciences, Prof. Yeshayahu Galili said: “We worked together … and above outer shells I always felt intellectual integrity, organic humanism, and almost shy modesty His.
