Shimoni, Ephraim

Son of Miriam and Yefet, was born on August 28, 1931 in Petah Tikva. He studied at Netzach Yisrael Elementary School and was one of the best students. Ephraim went to work, was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement, a counselor in the Gadna, and later joined the Haganah. During the dismantling of a landmine near Petah Tikva, he was killed on the 27th of Elul 5708 (October 1, 1948). He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Petah Tikva.
