Shimon Cohen

Son of Rosa and Jacob. He was born on Sunday, March 15, 1958, in Brazil. He had a young brother, Hanan and older brother Ron. He made Aliyah from Brazil in 1962.

Simon married Nava. The two established their home in Tiberias and had four children: Nadav, Meital, Nathaniel and Dor. On November 30, 2014, he enlisted in the Israel Police and served at Tiberias Station in the Northern District.

Senior Sergeant Shimon Cohen fell while performing his duties on the 26 of May, 2019 at 60 years old. He was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Tiberias. Survived by a wife, four children and two brothers.

On his gravestone, his lovers wrote: “Our hero, the salt of the earth, loves a man. Forever your love will remain in our hearts.”
