Sherer, Gutman


Born in the city of Bacau, Romania, in 1920. He had a high school education and a mechanic according to his profession, passed through the horrors of World War II, and spent seven hardships in the “escape route” of Holocaust survivors He was a member of the Jewish Brigade in Romania and Italy and immigrated to Israel in May 1947. He came to live with his married sister, and his house became his home as well. The cemetery near Rafiah was hit by a shrapnel and fell on the ground on 4 January 1949. Buried within limits. On the 16th of Av 5709 (August 11, 1949) he was put to rest at the military cemetery in Haifa.
