Sherer, Adam (Edek)

Sherer, Adam (Edek)

Son of Avraham and Fela. He was born on March 21, 1933 in the city of Rymanow, Poland. Immigrated to Israel in 1942. He attended elementary and high school in the educational institution of Kibbutz Mizra. As soon as he arrived he hit roots in the children’s home in the educational institution, kibbutz and movement. Being talented, entrepreneurial, energetic and ambitious, everyone around him felt that he would be one of the pillars of the kibbutz. Because of these virtues he led his friends, but was far from condescending to them. Was a good and generous friend and was always willing to help and share himself with the fate of his friends. From his youth, he was likened to “a young eagle with wings, whose eyes are aimed at the heavens,” and indeed, after his enlistment in the army in August 1952, he passed a flying course with honors, and Betis saw his whole world on 9.9.1954. After his death he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant, and Kibbutz Mizra took out a pamphlet in his memory, commemorating his mother’s contribution to the establishment of the library (commemorating him and his brother, the victim of the Holocaust). Memory board.
