Sher, Haim (Sherry)


Son of Shoshana and Moshe, was born on May 21, 1927 in Haifa. Haim graduated from the Kiryat Haim elementary school and the Technion vocational school in Haifa. During his studies he was a member of the Hashomer Hatzair movement. In 1946 he joined the Palmach as a member of the “Sabar” core group in Beit Zera and served as the coordinator of the Labor Committee, where he worked mainly in fodder and cartels. He was killed by an Arab legionnaire in the POW camp on July 25, 1948. Upon the liquidation of the POW camp, his coffin was brought to rest on the new land of Revadim on the 30th of Tevet 5709 (1.3.1949).
