Ben Yonah and Chaim. He was born on January 17, 1972 in Holon, where he grew up and studied. He began his studies at the Aran Elementary School and finished them at the ORT Holon high school in electronics and computers. Tomer was a diligent and diligent student and his behavior was exemplary. He was very interested in his studies and always wanted to expand his knowledge and depth. He devoted many hours to activities in the school and in circles, and when he was in ninth grade he received a certificate of excellence from his school principal for his great activity. Indeed, his activities spread over many areas and in all of them he succeeded. He was an outstanding chess player and a member of the Israel Chess Federation in Holon. In this framework he participated in a chess competition held in the United States and won a gold medal. He was awarded a fifth rank in chess. He was a regular athlete in the light athletics industry and was sent to represent Ort Israel in an international competition in France where he won trophies and medals. Tomer was smiling, with large black eyes and a head full of curls, and in late July 1990 he was drafted into the IDF and volunteered for the Infantry Brigade for the Givati Brigade. After completing his basic training course, he completed a course for paramedics, and completed his course with excellent grades, as was the case throughout his life. His dream was not fulfilled. On the 13th of Elul, 5721 (August 22, 1991), he fell during his service and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. Survived by his parents, two brothers and a sister – Erez, Elad and Natanela. In a letter of condolence to the family, his commander wrote: “Corporal Tomer Shehhi was an outstanding soldier and a model member, his eternal smile, his willingness to help and contribute and his seriousness will accompany us forever.”
