He was active in the Haganah in Emek Hefer, and on 5 May 1948 he joined the War of Independence and served in one of the Givati ​​Brigade battalions, He took part in Operation “Yoav” for the breakthrough to the Negev, in a force that attacked the Egyptian “junction.” This battle fell on the 14th of Tishrei, 5710 (October 17, 1948), and was brought to rest. -In the military cemetery in Warburg.
