Shazar (Schnittlich), Menachem


Son of Eliyahu Dov. He was born in the Galicia region of Poland in 1932. He immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1932 and was a member of the Kfar Hahoresh group, and after a short period left the kibbutz and joined the Nahalal Moshav where he was active in the Hagana. During the bloody riots of 1936-1939, he enlisted in the Guard Corps, excelled in his energy and fulfilled his duties, and was in charge of the Department of Notrim, and at the beginning of 1937 he was appointed to oversee the forest of the King George V Fund planted near Kfar Hahoresh. (June 17, 1938), a group of workers who worked to extinguish the burning of thorns in the forest, and a bullet that was fired from his pistol seriously wounded him and shortly afterwards died of his wounds. Moshav Nahalal. Left a wife and daughter.
