Shaveh, Elias

Shaveh, Elias

Son of Tifcha and Saleem. Elias was born in Israel on the 12th of Cheshvan 5711 (12.11.1951). He studied and was educated at the Netaim School in Ramat Gan. His teachers noticed his inclination to agriculture, because he was very devoted to the farm in his school, so they recommended him to study in an agricultural school. Elias loved farm life and volunteered at the agricultural farm near Ramat Gan National Park, near his home. He was very devoted to farm animals and various agricultural crops, and he always received praise and appreciation for his devotion. It was very important for Elias to spend time with the family, especially during holidays and events. Every Friday when he got home he brought his mother a bouquet of flowers. Elias loved nature, landscapes, parks and sites. He dreamed of a private house with a large garden full of flowers, ornamental trees and food and pets. He liked to see the flowering and would spend the night outdoors whenever he had the opportunity. Elias was a modest and humble man, loved and loved by people and always enlisted to help others. Those close to him say that a lot of laughter, and that family and friends were his main concern. He was always interested in the safety of all the family and friends and made sure everything was fine. Elias was smiling, with grace and inner and outer beauty. He had an active social life: entertainment, dancing, a lot of laughter and hiking. As an adult, before enlisting, Elias decided that he wanted to be a policeman, and intended to realize this desire after the army. On February 16, 1970, Elias joined the Border Police. In July 1972 Elias felt pain, a strong, intense pain. On the advice of his superior he was sent to a doctor at the base. Instead of sending him to the hospital, he was sent home for a sick leave. Elias came home exhausted and weak, and told the parents that he was not feeling well and that the stomach aches were unbearable. The parents immediately took him to the hospital. For about a week, Elias and his parents went to the hospital every day and were sent home every day. The doctors thought he was pretending to be discharged from the army, and instead of being hospitalized he was given only sedatives. On the seventh day of the agony, his colon exploded and Elias became infected. He was operated on, but his fever increased greatly. After about a week, on July 24, 1972, Elias passed away. Policeman Elias fell during his service. He was twenty-one when he fell. He was buried in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, Tel Aviv.
