Shaul, Niva


Niva, a daughter of Azara and Yehuda, was born on December 19, 1950, in Kibbutz Mishmar Hanegev, Niva was drafted into the IDF in early December 1968. After completing her basic training and completing her training course, she was assigned to the liaison corps as a typist. As usual, she filled her role with dedication, efficiency and quiet. Here she also found my son, with whom she planned to establish a family. With all the peace and tranquility she had shown outward, Niva was in the midst of her dilemma. After her discharge from the regular service in the IDF, she moved to the big city, where she worked for a year at the secretariat of Hakibbutz Hameuchad, and after that she asked for a year off from the kibbutz and began working for the tourism company “Hatzor.” It was a period of blossoming and awakening for the new life that promised her so much. She was sent abroad on vacation with my son, at the company’s expense, and her wedding date was drawing closer and everything was bright and confident, but despite her excellent feeling in the city she recognized that she could not get used to the fact that “lies and deception are stone The examiner for every successful person. “Not without hesitation she decided to build her home and her future in the city On Yom Kippur, she was called up for reserve service, as an essential professional in the Signal Corps, and joined a military convoy that went south on October 8, 1973. Was buried in the Kibbutz Mishmar Hanegev cemetery and left behind her parents and two sisters, and was raised to the rank of corporal, and her parents and kibbutz members established a permanent scholarship fund, the Niva Foundation.
