Shatil, Oded

Oded, son of Joseph and Leah Shatil, was born in 1932 in Karkur. He was drafted into the IDF in April 1950 and served in the Israel Air Force. On the 25th of Av (August 6, 1953), he left for a position and did not return. A monument in his memory was erected in the missing-persons section of the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
